For his part, Dr. Haitham Al-Tuwaijri, Advisor to the Saudi Space Authority, said that the experiments carried out by astronauts are reflected in increasing economic opportunities, and that many innovations and technologies came as a result of space research, pointing out that space represents a suitable environment for medical experiments on vaccines and their impact on cells. In addition, companies are trying to manufacture some products in space to increase their quality and efficiency.

He added, Al-Tuwaijri, that the journey of the Saudi astronauts is an opportunity to broaden the perceptions of students, who share experiences from the ground with them via live broadcast, considering that investing in the new generation in the Kingdom is an anticipation for the future.

In turn, the Director General of the Institute of Health Technologies and Preventive Medicine at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, Dr. Ahmed Al-Dosari, said that the number of students participating in space experiments through real-time interaction through satellites exceeded 10,000 students, who were present in 47 sites and schools.

For his part, Dr. Ali Al-Shehri, Director General of the Institute for Future Transportation Technologies at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, said that the experiments that students carry out in conjunction with the trip to the International Space Station help to think about new innovations in future transportation technologies.
